Pay Day picks: Mint Velvet

Pay Day Picks: Mint Velvet

Mint Velvet: a brand i have known about for a few years now, but never felt fitted my style until recently. Since i started appreciating quality over quantity, more classic staple garments (with a bit more quirky in my accessories & footwear) and a more simplistic way of dressing but still feeling put together and fashionable, Mint Velvet offers just that.... Chic, fashionable pieces that a woman can wear in the office or dropping the kids off at school - relaxed glamour is the brand ethos and one i can definitely get on board with. While browsing the website last week, i noticed so many amazing pieces in the "New In" section and had to share them with you.

Pay Day Picks: Mint Velvet - my picks

The hero piece for me, from this selection, is the navy military style jacket with star embellishment on the sleeves - such a great jacket for the spring, would definitely style it up thrown over my favourite little white dress with sandals. I love the subtle embellishment contrasting against the more manly tailoring of the garment and also all the pockets, practical but fun.

The Skylar ankle boots have a great chunky western heel, my favourite everyday style and i love the contrast of "work in the front, party in the back" with these statement silver stars adorning the back of the boots.

I was very impressed with all the slogan/motif jumpers & tees - i especially love the knitwear pieces, a classic shape but with an on trend element - how cute are these heart elbow patches! Plus this little white blouse with cactus embroidery all over, is just the right level of novelty for me and would look great with your favourite pair of jeans.

The Eva sandals would be ideal for the summer and this blush pink/rose colour is so versatile. The espadrille/Birkenstock styling is something different but i think would look equally great with a floaty skirt as it would jeans or denim shorts.

Last up, can we talk about THE PERFECT black pleated midi skirt - soft, flowing and teamed with a slouchy tee and sandals....hello summer chic, need this in my wardrobe.

Take a look for yourself at Mint Velvet and let me know your pay day picks.

Finally gave in and bagged myself the navy military jacket - such a gorgeous fit and the sleeve embellishment is so beautiful. Well worth a look - still in stores x
