The Perfect Bridesmaid dress

Friends x

I knew that finding the perfect bridesmaid dress was going to be tough (actually took longer to find than the actual wedding dress!), as we all agreed we wanted something a little different and not so traditional plus the bride had her heart set on a midi length dress. We needed something with structure as well as a touch of fun and this dress fitted all that criteria.

From relatively new brand Chi Chi London, the Kelcy is a gorgeous navy and cream cap sleeve baroque style tea dress. Covered with gorgeous intricate lace and a beautiful full skirt with layers of tulle that gives the dress a lovely 50's feel to it. This dress made me feel like a princess on the day, and i have never worn something that i have received so many compliments on, plus it was also an absolute bargain at only £67.

Beautiful bridesmaids

To compliment the dress, i kept my hair, make up and jewellery very simple and minimal. Wild flowers in my hair and bouquet and topped off with the piece de resistance, my fabulous shoes. The brief from the bride was bright pink and although i struggled, i finally found these beauties in the Debenhams sale. From Carvela at Kurt Geiger and clearly meant to be...last pair in stock, my size and down from £90 to just £19!! The perfect shade of pink with a quirky bow fastening and just the right heel height for the day - a very me detail in this bridesmaid outfit.
