New Arm Candy | My Cambridge Satchel bag.....

My Cambridge satchel

One of the best British accessory brands around, The Cambridge Satchel company has been a firm favourite of mine for a few years now - beautiful quality and craftsmanship at reasonable prices. So much to my delight i received a very unexpected birthday gift from hubby - the large push lock satchel.  I had seen this style online and been lusting after it for a few months now and mentioned how cute it was and he actually listened!!! The push lock satchel comes in two sizes, medium and large - but so glad he bought the large.

Everything about this bag is gorgeous from the soft supple leather, silver hardware and subtle branding, down to how it arrived! A total sucker for pretty packaging, i was so impressed when i unwrapped it - not only in a dust bag but nestled inside a sleek magnetic closure box, with a sneaky Curly Wurly inside.

Normally i would always go for a classic colour, usually black or tan, but i fell seriously in love with the new seasonal colours (sweet pea blue, freesia purple & peony peach) and would have been happy with any of these shades, however i am so glad hubby went for this gorgeous dusk blue. A perfect summer shade, that adds a touch of colour to my wardrobe and almost matches my new nail polish. The size is also ideal, something smaller is much easier to carry round in the summer, plus this one can be worn on the shoulder, cross body or remove the strap and it easily becomes a clutch - versatility, which i love when it comes to bags.

Now i am normally a big bag kinda girl, i always end up like Mary Poppins with everything but the kitchen sink in there so with this bag i had to trim down to the essentials but was pleasantly surprised just how much this little beauty actually fits in.

So in my satchel i can fit:

1. Primark Sunglasses & case
2. Painkillers
3. Fleur De Force "Written in the stars" lip gloss
4. H&M passionfruit Lip Balm
5. L'Occitane hand cream
6. Inhaler
7. Greek all seeing eye charm, souvenir from holiday
8. Invisabobble hair tie
9. Happy Plugs rose gold headphones
10. Car keys
11. Phone - Samsung Galaxy S 5 Mini in etsy cover
12. House keys with rose gold eiffel tower and Paul & Joe cat keyrings
13. Spare contact lenses
14. Small glittery coin purse
15. Accessorize card wallet

The only thing i would need to switch out would be my sunnies for small umbrella, especially in the UK where it rains a lot! but my tiny brolly from Primark would fit no problem.

I would definitely recommend the push lock satchel if you are looking for a classic, smaller bag but would say unless you are a very minimal girl opt for the large size, the medium is quite a bit smaller. Now just need to drop hints about the Oxblood version...a Christmas gift maybe. Head over to The Cambridge Satchel Co and check out the full range.
