Welcome back fellow fashionistas, has been a while since i wrote a post in this series but felt so inspired this week, when i saw a beautiful green outfit styled up by the gorgeous Blair Eadie. For me green isn't a colour i have ever worn except for the odd splash of khaki, mainly as it reminds me too much of Kermit the frog, however some of the deep emerald colours seen on Blair are gorgeous and although i wont be rocking this head to toe, i definetely need to pick up a great jacket or top to add into my wardrobe.
Starting small with a green bag or a bold accessory like tassel earrings is a great way to introduce any colour. Then i would step it up with a simple knitwear piece or classic coat/jacket, a perfect partner for your favourite denim. Next comes head to toe...as with any statement look try to layer shades and textures to give the outfit depth - a printed dress under a coat or perhaps a chic pyjama suit like above.
I love elements of all the looks featured in this post but for me the most inspirational are the three below. As i mentioned, it was a Blair Eadie look that inspired this post and these three are the outfits that i connected with and really want to recreate. Attention to detail in these looks is phenomenal - how does she make a simple breton tee, denim dungarees and a beret look so friggin chic? I think this is how I would like to add green to an outfit, adding to a pieces I already enjoy wearing like denim.
