My monthly series, sharing the food, places, fashion, beauty and entertainment that I'm currently enjoying.
1. Embracing the "from where i stand" style of photography whilst on holiday. A perfect way to document daily outfits, when there isn't time for a full on photo shoot. Also nice as i am able to include hubby in the shots, although they do get a little dull over the week as his style doesn't really change. This one was taken while waiting for a tram in Edinburgh.
2. My Rose Gold obsession has got worse...new coffee table book - The Luxe Life by Fleur de Force, a new iPad case from Amazon (our old one was just plain black, although not sure hubby is convinced about it) and this gorgeous little pineapple dish perfect for my collection of rose gold earrings.
3. Beautiful bonny Scotland. Spent a week up north, in Edinburgh and at my in-laws new house in Pitlochry. A great excuse to really use my new camera, capturing the stunning scenery and holiday moments with my husband. This is my favourite shot from the week, the waterfall at the Hermatige, Dunkeld. Isn't nature amazing...
4. Martha Moo - the moment i saw this lip shade from Tanya Burr, i just knew it would be perfect for me. A gorgeous everyday matte shade, that stays on the lips all day and best of all only £5.99. Ordered it just in time, has been the most popular shade from the new range and has sold out....need to make this last!
5. Scrap-booking is one of my favourite ways to get inspired. While i do love my Pinterest boards, there is something really relaxing about sitting down with a stack of magazines and tearing out all the images i love - both articles and products. I then collate them all in an old scrapbook i have kept since i was an university, a source i regularly flick through for inspiration on blog posts and layouts.
6. Always on the hunt for storage solutions, i finally bought these clear acrylic drawers from Muji to store my favourite sunglasses in. Normally dotted around the house, this great set of drawers keeps them all in one place (bedroom window) whilst being able to see all the styles - perfect for grab and go.
7. During a recent trip to Birmingham, and walking through the new Grand Central station i discovered a great new food spot - Wasabi Sushi & Bento. While i am not a sushi fan i thoroughly enjoyed one of the hot bento boxes on offer and would definitely recommend it for lunch. I went for a sweet chilli chicken box, which came with rice and edamame bean salad - so yummy but it was very spicy (and i forgot to buy water!).
8. Hands down my favourite books growing up, so i was intrigued by the latest book by J.K Rowling. Set 19 years after Voldemort was defeated, the book follows the life of Harry/Ginny/Hermione/Ron's children. An odd book to read based on the script format but i thoroughly enjoyed the plot and would now love it to be made into a film once the play has finished.
9. This month's TV show of choice, The Big Bang Theory. Such a great, feel good show, perfect chill time viewing but so easy to binge watch as the episodes are only 20 mins long #manyaweekendlost. If you haven't watched it yet, make to check it out - season 1-8 now on Netflix.
10. My new season ankle boots. I already own a few pairs of ankle boots, but they are all heeled and so i wanted to add a flat pair to my collection. This pair of western boots are so comfy and i love the simplicity, the textured upper and all the detailing on the buckles. Perfect styled with jeans for a casual look but they add a little more of a festival/rock chic edge to a feminine dress. Enjoying wearing now with bare legs but will also work well with tights when it gets cooler.
They are from ASOS and were £28.
