Monthly Favourites #2

Monthly Favourites #2

Back for another month, sharing the food, places, fashion, beauty and entertainment that I'm currently enjoying.

1. A cult classic in the skincare world, but until recently i had never tried for myself. As one of the more pricey skincare options in Boots, i have always been put off by the price, but after suffering from a bout of bad skin and reading so many rave reviews, decided to do some investigation. I ended up having a Liz Earle facial in my local boots store, to test out the products and afterwards my skin felt amazing so i purchased the starter kit. So pleased with the product, my skin is looking better than it has done in years and super soft too.

2. So a little slow jumping on the Snapchat bandwagon, it has taken me 4 months to work out how to use the filters but now i know how, i am obsessed. So far these are my favourites - hubby thinks i am mad but who wouldn't want to look like a koala or a kitty cat!

3. Thoroughly enjoyed the last two books from the amazing Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power of Who What Wear and when i saw they had released a career inspired book, i knew i needed it. Both these amazing woman have had some killer roles within the fashion industry so who better to get career advice from. Only flicked through so far but already inspired.

4. An odd favourite but have been enjoying a lot of salads as the weather warms up in the UK. This one was a thrown together combo of a Cesar salad (minus the dressing) with additional pancetta and prawns - so yummy.

5. So in love with this, my latest purchase from Bicester Village. After getting my Cambridge satchel for my birthday, i have been on the look out for a smaller purse and have had the new SS16 pink version of this wallet on my wishlist for a few months now but couldn't justify spending almost £100 on a purse, so when a trip to Bicester came up i jumped at the chance and was able to find an older version of the Stacy wallet in this beautiful minty aqua colour. The perfect size and shape for smaller bags but still plenty of room for all my cards.

6. Wasn't looking for new shoes, but when i saw these i knew i needed to try them on. The perfect wedge, gives me some much needed height but are super comfy i can go all day without any pain (which is a massive bonus). I love the lace up front and especially the tassel detailing on the laces. Perfection from River Island.

7. Have always been a fan of iced latte's, and they are a staple in my life during the summer, so was happy to find these fridge favourites in the chilled aisle in Sainsburys. Great for on the go, and in the morning plus really refreshing - just wish they were a little larger as you don't get much (always end up with a venti size in Starbucks)

8. A trend piece from New Look, that i haven't taken off since i bought it. Looks amazing with both dresses and jeans and is the perfect transitional jacket. I love the balance of the bold floral print with the block colour sleeve, adding a touch of feminine to quite a masculine shaped garment.

9. If you haven't tried this product yet, what are you waiting for? I have always used the Garnier summer body lotion but after a streaky incident a few months ago, decided it was time to upgrade and try something new. After getting a recommendation from a colleague at work i decided to try this in shower formula and it is amazing. Applies evenly without streaks, leaves skin moisturised and best of all i can just apply during my normal shower routine. A little pricey but well worth it for a gorgeous subtle summer glow.

10. No explanation needed...was so excited for season six of this show, and still hooked.

Would love to hear what your monthly favourites are?
