A somewhat new addition to any fashionista's closet, the Chambray shirt has come into its own in recent years.
A basic item, so cute and so versatile, looks great come rain or shine - layered with a chunky jumper or simple tee, with a smart pencil or fun printed skirt and for the bold almost us teamed with your favourite pair of jeans in a double denim look. Also because it is a staple item it goes with most colours - a sophisticated monochrome outfit or your bright skinny jeans, treat it like a white tee and have fun mixing and matching.
For me the perfect partner to a chambray shirt has to be a statement necklace, worn with either an open collar or buttoned up for a preppy look, adding just a touch of polish to such a casual piece of clothing. Personally i cannot pull of a double denim look, but i do love to pair mine with a printed skirt or skinny black jeans and an oversized necklace.
