Monthly subscription beauty boxes are not a new thing, they have been around for a few years now - Glossybox, Birchbox, Glamour Beauty Box and the latest addition to Mr Postman's delivery bag is My Little box. A delightful little company first started in France, that is now finally arriving in the UK. A box offer that is not only different from the others on the market, but also adds a little quirky fun and defiantly a dose of French chic - unlike the other boxes who focus solely on beauty products, My Little Box has diversified and channeled it's french chic into the offer so that the customer gets more than just cosmetics.

Each month has a different theme, with the UK introduction box being "My Little Parisienne Box", a perfect welcome to the French brand. Below are a few of my favourite themes from the French site, hoping these will be replicated for the UK customers, in particular the Geekette box:
So onto My Little Parisienne Box.....
Beautiful packaging that seemed a shame to open, with equally gorgeous goodies inside. The chic illustrations top off the offering perfectly - and show that the concept, the box and its contents have been thought about down to the last detail.

I have felt like an excited child at Christmas this week, waiting for this to be delivered, and i am not disappointed. A good mix of brands and products within the little bag of beauty - the own brand brightening pen is a great multi-use product and i am so pleased that i am able to use all three items as they are not specific to a skin colour/type which is something that put me off the other boxes in the market. The accessories element of the box is also good, every girl needs a cute notepad and stickers. Whilst the laptop case is so cute, the illustrations are perfect and while the case itself is a tad big for my netbook and Ipad it will be great to use to keep all my technology together along with my chargers.
Sadly i did discover what would be in my box before it arrived - social media is normally a great thing, but it did ruin the surprise element of the box as excited ladies around the UK couldn't wait to show off their new goodies. My only complaint so far - how long it takes to be delivered, almost two weeks which for someone like me who is impatient, is not good.
Like most of these subscription boxes the excitement will inevitably wear off, but for now i am intrigued to see how next months box compares, what the theme will be and what goodies are in store for the ladies of the UK in October.

Sadly no catwalk show again this season to unveil the latest collection, a great loss to the LFW schedule, as i am sure many will agree. However the collection preview in my eyes is a much stronger offering than the FW14 unveil, with a clear brand message and some of the Mulberry details that we know and love, that i feel have been missing since Emma Hill left.
What's a Mulberry show without the best bit - the beautiful bags. This season we are introduced to Delphie, a simple everyday style with a cleaver little secret....the flap flips over to reveal a contrasting colour and creates a whole new look, offering the wearer two bags in one. Also some old favourites got a refresh in seasonal fabrics and colours.
Beautiful detailing across the entire collection - intricate lace, perforated leather and almost patchwork prints. I really love the above print, used on multiple garments across the collection, a nice choice of colours and a new take on the floral trend.
Most of the imagery used in this post is from Mulberry.com - with no catwalk show, the social media world is a little light on imagery! However i have come across some beautiful shots from the showroom, that really capture the essence of the collection. The setting of the showroom shows the garments in a different light, different angles and textures are seen that aren't as clear on the busy backgrounds in the outfit shots.
Favourite's for me would have to be the patchwork/floral jacket - a great take on a classic piece with a fun print and a modern cut. The floor length lace dress - this dress is so beautiful and the intricate lace detailing is exquisite (i am torn between which i love more, the white or the blue) and finally the white skater style dress with its gorgeous vintage floral print (teamed with the leather perforated top, not sure i would team these two together).
Feeling inspired, ready for the next Spring Summer season - although it is odd thinking ahead to florals and pastel palettes as we head into the Autumn season and are surrounded by the darker shades that come with it.

My favourite time of year - Fashion week, or should i say Fashion month? For the regular fashionista's out there, no fancy invitations or parties just a constant addiction to social media to feel part of this amazing world. My Instagram and Twitter are refreshed so often i am surprised they havent broken, with all the updates from various pillars of the fashion world showing the shows, the models and the must have items from each designer. One of my favourite fountains of fashion info during the shows is Vogue.co.uk with details from all the catwalk shows almost immediately, i am able to see the amazing creations and collections even if i am sat in my living room.
This season i was inspired to find not only my old time favourites but also some new designers, that i had previously not been that aware of. Here are the SS15 collections i loved - amazing and beautiful in their own right.

I became aware of Alice & Olivia a couple of seasons ago, after seeing a stunning tulle dress evening gown on the red carpet (remember the dress, but not who was wearing it!). The SS15 collection was awash with strong prints, colour both bold and pastel and a mixture of simple and more extreme silhouettes. The variety in the show was beautiful and meant an Olivia & Alice girl would look fabulous during the working and day and at any party or event. My favourite look was that of the 1950's esque cocktail dress in simple black and white, my only addition would have been some colour in the shoes - this dress would look fabulous with a pair of killer heels from Sophia Webster.

"Collating the quintessential world of Britain - Morris dancers and maypoles - and combine it with her own graphic signature aesthetic." Vogue.com
A collection built around classic silhouettes and brought to life through the use of print and pattern. The mosiac tile effect within the print, gives a slight futuristic element whilst still being very feminine. A simplistic palette of black and white with precise hints of colour, like the subtle addition of the mint green crop top to a modern day work look. I love the black and coloured dot, tulle midi skirt a nice use of materials to add print rather than a patterned fabric, although not quite so sold on the bullseye top that completes the look. I do wish this had a little more colour to it but I guess this would have ruined the simple lines within the collection.

"Girls will be girls, but few so much as those Lela Rose envisions, with her hyper-feminine vernacular." Style.com
A new designer on my radar this season, Lela Rose and i think my favourite. Elegant, simple silhouettes but with a bold use of print and pops of strong colours - shades of lime, oxblood and cobalt blue. Plus the use of a lot of fluid fabrics such as silk, which add to the femininity of the collection. My favourite prints are the lead in oversized polka dot and the vintage florals in particular I am drawn to those used on the lime silk number #8 above - a very glamorous look. Majority of outfits in the collection were either midi, skater or maxi skirt/dress styles with only a couple of outfits based around trouser/culottes styles.

An old favourite, who for another season has managed to produce a beautiful collection. Particularly loving the ballgown element of the collection, the baby blue embellished style is elegant but with a modern twist, whereas the orange and yellow style is an unexpected pop at the end of the show. The only element of this that i was not so excited about was the opening portion which heavily featured coloured gingham - not something that felt cohesive with the rest of the collection, Oscar is best known for glamour and that is where i felt the strength in this collection.

Wanting to show that the brand can do more than just girly, this new collection shows attitude, plus a lot of flamingo's. With the usual variety of print and colour, the latest collection is just as beautiful as the SS14, that made me fall in love. All of the styles are pieces of art, down to intricate heels and laser cut details but i think my favourites would have to be #5 - a modern day t bar in pastels, plus #8 - barbie platforms with heart covered heels.

M&S has become a store worth visiting for more than new undies (although still THE destination for the perfect bra), with beautiful pieces across all collections, and the latest TV creation from the brand shows this. Another glamourous advert that shows all of their sub-brands in one space. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it here and your in for a treat.
After seeing this on TV, i decided to see what else the super brand has in store for the British highstreet in AW14 and found these amazing press shots - many many more online but these were the looks that grabbed my attention and i could see slotting into my wardrobe. A great mix of colours, trends and items - in particular i am excited for the pastel pieces and sixties influences.
My "New Arrival" loves.....lots of snuggly lovelies in this years collection, the fur gilet is perfect - why shouldn't a girl be cute and cosy?, plus some more edgy pieces like the leather skater dress (leather is definitely not a fabrication i would have associated with this previously labelled old lady brand). The Ponte dress, a fabulous mix of simple colours and print but in a very wearable piece, great for the office especially teamed with this season ankle boots and the on trend slogan clutch, something to rival the goodies in Accessorize - all perfect additions to any wardrobe.

A triumph in terms of gaining new customers but also retaining the existing, something a lot of modern brands could learn from.
My only annoyance is why weren't they this stylish when i worked in store and got discount!

Primark Haul
So i have been thinking about adding videos to my blog for a while now, and was surprised when even my husband asked why i wasn't doing video's especially on Haul posts - i have taken the plunge and here is the first Video post on The Glitter Fashionista.
I decided to do a Haul video as these are the videos i love to watch and as i have just been on a little trip to Primark, seemed like a good place to start.

* So excited for not only my first trip to Germany but also my first work trip, off to Dusseldorf for the GDS footwear show and some comp shopping on the German highstreet. Flying solo was a little scary but I survived as it was a short flight, although think i was still half asleep as it was a 7am flight. * My hotel room in Dusseldorf, really nice room, such a comfy bed (wish i could have fitted the pillows in my overnight bag), only issue was no English TV channels except for the news! Thank god for my iPad and Gossip Girl episodes. * A nice green view from my window, not what I was expecting in the centre of a bustling city, great not to just have a brick wall outside. * An unexpected find in the centre of the GDS show, a group of vintage bicycles with this pink beauty catching my eye. * Gorgeous wallpaper in the perfect palette for my new lounge and a interesting modern print, shame it was on a pillar in a German department store. * The little lady of the house, chilling in her new favourite spot. * Three little lights that I have never been so happy to see, my 2 month nightmare with BT is finally over and I very nearly kissed the nice engineer who finally got my internet working. * Beautiful butterfly coaster set, a house warming present. * The best thing I have ever bought, this IKEA rail (bargain at only £6.50) is the perfect overspill area for my wardrobe, great for planning the weeks outfits and also displaying my favourite pieces.
* My favourite way to spend a Sunday afternoon, curled up on the sofa with fashion mags and a large coffee. * My AW wishlist, the pieces that i have fallen in love with, read what made the list TGF Edit: AW14. * New Look's fabulous new collection in store, loving the mix of khaki and tartans. * H&M - my favourite looks from the latest catalogue plus the striped top I had to have (although have to replace as hubby shrunk it in the wash!) * Yummy goodies from my highstreet haul, Primark and New Look - cute tartan dress, skinny jeans, basic v neck t-shirt, gorgeous gingham shirt and a statement necklace in a new colours for me. * New in at Lands' End, the fabulous textured sweatshirt is so cute and snugly, make sure to check out the latest at Lands' End. * Pinning madness this month, the autumnal looks have really caught my eye and there are so many! Again love the transitional pieces and also the variety of hats, an underrated accessory.
* A new shade of Essie, "Bikini so teeny". Great blue shade with a slight purple undertone.
* Visit to Bicester village - discovered the latest addition a Lulu Guinness store, so many bags, accessories gorgeous lips everywhere! * Wasn't able to resist the delights of Kate Spade, discover what I couldn't resist and had to have. * Second haul of the month - a New Look long line khaki cardigan and motif tee along with a H&M floral jacket, in this seasons must have winter floral print for the brand. Plus the cutest slogan clutch, from Accessorize. * Incorporating my fabulous new floral blazer with my relaxed joggers, loafers and classic tee for a work look.

Then best friends do glam with sparkly hen accessories and the best cure for a long weekend and a hangover, a huge ice cream whilst sat on the beach enjoying the sunshine.
